It has been almost a month since I got accepted to YWAM! Woot woot! Throughout the last few weeks, I have started my support raising journey. I have set up a GoFundMe page, sent out 75 support letters (with many more to send out), signed up for a craft fair in December as another way to raise funds, babysat and will continue, and am beginning to save more out of my paychecks. I’m constantly trying to think of new ways to raise support, and today I let anxiety and a little doubt creep into my thoughts.
As my heart began to race a little as I kept thinking, “How am I going to raise $13,000 in 8 months?!,” I knew my flesh was taking over. I took a couple minutes to have a chat with my good friend upstairs and He reminded me of this verse:
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? – Romans 8:32
As I started reciting this verse to myself, giving my anxieties to God and praying for peace, the craziest thing happened next: I INSTANTLY HAD PEACE. We serve an amazing, incredibly gracious God who DOES provide. Donations are beginning to come, and I know they will continue because I know God will provide!
Even though I need money to go to New Zealand, support raising isn’t about the monetary value. Support raising is about trusting in God to provide and growing closer to Him and building stronger relationships with the amazing people God has placed in my life!
Have an amazing and blessed day!
